Zack Snyder made the biggest movie announcement at Comic Con 2013. He is now planning expand the DC Universe by featuring two epic superheroes in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel. In this film, Superman will be facing against Batman in a " fight to the finish". According to Yahoo Movies, the movie will adapt the story from "The Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel when Batman and Supeman engage in an epic battle.
"I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter.  Let’s face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world." Zack Snyder said.
Same thing happened in "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" animation. Which is one of my favorite Superman movies. I would prefer these two would team up to fight an enemy like Lex Luthor in the upcoming film, rather than fight with each other.
Before revealing the official logo for the Man of Steel movie, Actor Harry Lennix quoted from The Dark Knight Returns, "I want you to remember Clark. In all the years to come. In all your private moments. In all the years to come, my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you". This hints about Batman vs Superman battle. Is Clark Kent going to get hooked up on red Kryptonite in this film? Or are they gonna be in a big misunderstanding?
Those aren't the biggest question we have now. We all know that Christian Bale is not returning to play Batman. So, the real question is, who's going to replace Christian Bale as the Batman in this film? Is anyone even there who could do it better than Christian Bale? I don't think so. Despite that, I think this film will be awesome anyway.
