Sundaze 57

By Winyeemichelle
After a BUSY week at Chez Chai, it comes as no surprise that this miniature Sundaze installment is scheduled! Nope, we’re not in real-time right now and by the time this post goes live, I’ll be up in Chester or somewhere very close by. But more on that later… I don’t think I’ve ever been so relieved for a new week to start, if only for the reason that I can hit reset and refocus again! It’s been the sort of working week where every day has been very hands-on (I broke my two clients a day rule and ended up juggling all of my existing clients daily) and even my weekend was packed. So, let’s talk about it!

The Glossier London Pop-Up

It seems a bit of a tease to include this in my Sundaze round-up as the Glossier pop-up - yes, you did read that right - will be long gone by now. An evening peruse of my Instagram Stories reel alerted me to the fact that the coveted New York beauty brand headed by Into The Gloss’ Emily Weiss would be in town for one day only and I HAD to get involved. Their pop-up studio was on Baker Street and I was in the first 10 of the queue (lol) and featured on their Instagram Story!! Am I famous yet?! I think my blogging career has truly peaked ;) Open from 11am to 4pm, we (the general public, no invites necessary!) were given the chance to try the entire range and then take away an infamous pink pouch with full-sized products: Milky Jelly Cleanser, Boy Brow and Haloscope. What a dream. And I can confirm that the cleanser is oh so worth it. SO worth it. Hannah and I had the time of our lives Instagramming the entire place and really getting a feel for these hyped-up products.

A RUSH Hair Appointment

Right after that Glossier excitement, Hannah and I both headed to Shepherd’s Bush to celebrate the grand opening of the new RUSH hair salon! We were kindly booked in for complimentary appointments and I was absolutely over the moon to be able to freshen up my hair and go back to my lob of 2015. A good time all round. I’ll be sharing a full post of my experience on the blog next week but in short, my hair is short again now.

Pokemon GO Festival

SO! As we speak, I’m en route to Chester to play around in the Pokemon GO Festival hosted by Niantic. I think I may be amongst the 2% of original trainers that still plays but I’m excited nonetheless. I play the game every single day without fail. The event opens doors to Chester Castle for the first time in 20 years so I’m excited to soak up the fun of a new city as well as work towards unlocking in-game bonuses for the UK. Will you be heading over?

The future of Daisybutter?

Lately I’ve been musing a switch over to Squarespace. I run Daisybutter from Blogger at the moment and have done since 2008, but I can’t help but pine for a website that incorporates both my business website AND blog in a unified fashion. I’m also desperate to fine-tune the ‘vision’ for my blog (sounds wanky but I promise it won’t be!) and hone in on what makes this blog and my excellent reader-eggs tick. If you so wish, please do let me know what you enjoy reading the most and, more importantly, what keeps you coming back? That could be the posts, the promise of new content, the other stuff, the layout, even the font!

Odds and ends captions:

  1. My gallery wall is finally finally getting there!
  2. 1x ridiculously adorable puppy-dog.
  3. Breakfast dates with this guy are what keeps my weeks ticking over.
  4. Glossier carnage.
  5. A Wahaca lunch for old time’s sake.
  6. A fresh ‘do!

Let’s rendezvous midweek for some real good link lovin’, shall we?
