Fairy floss soft serve & just a lotta work and words.
一. A very sheepish ‘hello’ from me this weekend because, well, I’ve completely fallen out of whack with all of my regular posts, haven’t I? I’m mostly annoyed that my series won’t all complete at the very end of the year but sometimes you just have to let life be lived and let the documentation come after or let it sit quietly in your head, simmering away in its’ magical goodness. This summer has been all sorts of excellent and I’m pretty happy letting time run away with me. Sometimes, things are better left unshared from the big wide world.
二. This week has been filled with work, as with any pre-holiday working week! We don’t fly until next weekend but August is always a little crazy with both of my parents’ birthdays falling over this week and the next. We celebrated Mama Daisy’s birthday on Monday with some girly shopping and a quiet family meal and next week, we’ll be surprising Papa Daisy with a birthday BBQ at our place! Therefore, I’m squeezing all of my work into just a handful of days and I’ve even squeezed some in over this weekend.

三. Popped out with Kim on Wednesday evening for a catch-up (why is it that every occasion becomes a catch-up when you’re a twenty-something professional? Ahh!) over food at Shuang Shuang followed by a much anticipated dessert feast at Milk Train. I can confirm Shuang Shuang is just fine for vegetarians and pescatarians! It felt just like Hong Kong where soft serve and candy floss come hand in hand for sweet treats! Post coming very soon, promise.
四. I picked up these so-called Pleated Awkward Length Trousers from Topshop on Monday and I’m seriously obsessed with them. I think I’m going to coerce Babybutter to shoot an outfit post for me because they’re just *that* good! Man alive I miss the awkwardness and frivolity of going out and shooting outfits.

五. Had an excellent evening with my girl Florence on Friday. I met her at University and she continues to be one of my best friends and soul sisters! I've been in London this weekend so we went to Block in Shoreditch which is fast becoming one of my favorite spots: a disused warehouse space that hosts a pizza pop-up, burrito bar, burger stand and makeshift bar along with mismatched seating and a sh!t ton of fairy lights. I’m not really a bar or club kinda girl so these kinda spots are perfect.
六. So, let’s talk blogging and all this jazz… I’ve really struggled over the past fortnight to share posts that I absolutely love with every inch of my heart and that is to the quality I want it to be. I feel like I’m back on top of my non-scheduled posting routine - i.e. post whenever I can/want to - but I rarely find the time to shoot photographs and even then, they’re not ever *quite* how I want them to be. The struggle is so real. Having said that, I’m always so encouraged by you guys. Yes, you! Every single comment, email, Tweet, DM that I get will never stop feeling special. So I must must share a little love for Corrie, Alyse and Lauren for their constant support! Let’s hope I muster up some courage and summon up a sliver of time to write properly, soon.

How has your week been?
