Little week-end musings. 一. And here we are again on another pretty Sunday. Even the word Sunday looks like the prettiest day of the week. I’ve had a decidedly less solitary and boring week this week and it’s done me the world of good. Ran grown-up errands yesterday, hung out with some extended family the other day and went on a tiny date probably. I also had a feeling-sorry-for-myself-help-ill day and literally slept for 12 hours. What a weekday indulgence!
二. This has been the week of gray storms in Hong Kong. And by gray storm I mean the amber rainstorm warnings being hoisted every other hour. Good. I’ve mostly hibernated and scrapbooked which has been oddly satisfying. Probably need to stop talking about that all the time.
三. I went on a third(?) date with a pretty special guy earlier this week. I don’t want to jinx things and say lots but it was fun and I’m feeling pretty content on ‘that’ front lately. Yay! Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.
四. Hoping to book my flight home next week. I was supposed to pay for it this week but payday is just an inch too far away. I can’t wait to go home for my favorite season and cuddle my tortoises, smooch my baby cousin and have all the emotional reunions with my best friends. I’ve already been making plans - a casual 4 months in advance!
五. Today - I’m heading out as soon as I hit publish! - I’m meeting up with an old colleague for brunch. Can’t wait to see my lovely Michelle! (Yes, we have the same name.) We used to sit beside each other and instantly hit it off with our klutzy, fangirl, girly-but-not-girly ways and I genuinely feel so lucky to have met her. Also, isn’t it odd that I’ve been here long enough to have ex-colleagues?! Sometimes it feels like I only just arrived.
