Sunday Summary | Sunderland City 10k

Happy Bank Holiday weekend, feels like it's not been that long since the Easter bank holiday doesn't it?!

Today I completed my first 10k in pretty rubbish weather conditions. It took me just over 58 minutes  and despite struggling along the seafront out of Roker park with the wind blasting rain in my face, I didn't stop. I'm pretty proud of myself and I do feel like it's an achievement. I was running today for St Oswald's Hospice and I'm pleased with how much I've raised for them so far via my JustGiving page.

Aside from my 10k, this week I've visited the casino for the first time - despite not really being into gambling at all, but the food we sampled was really good, so look out for a post on that soon. I also rushed through to Newcastle to take some photos which you'll see more of next week, but there's a sneaky hint up on Dorothy Perkins' website as part of their new dress campaign. It's so exciting to see me on the website and I'm grateful my Dad was around to take some photos quickly in the last of the light before the sun went down. I also got back into spinning after missing classes for a few weeks!

This week I've shared my WearSlide experience, a little travel bucket list and my latest '5 From This Month' update. Next week I'm heading to a couple blog events (hopefully, since I won't be working until 7pm again) and I have a work trip to Leeds for a conference.

I'll be back Tuesday, enjoy the rest of your weekend and congratulations if you took part in the Sunderland 10k or Half Marathon today!
