Sunday Summary | Skating, Bowling and Santa Hats

This week I've been slowly getting more festive; writing out Christmas cards, ice skating and going along to work's Christmas party on Thursday.
I may have tried on half the partywear in the Metro Centre and Newcastle, but I finally found something appropriate to wear for work's Christmas party. With bowling, pool and beer pong involved, I knew I didn't want to wear anything too short and I work with these guys, so you've got to still be professional outside of work, right? Anyway, I found a suitably embellished vest and paired it with my disco pants, remember when American Apparel first brought them out and they were a big craze? Knew I was right to hold onto them... 
I had a great night on Thursday, playing pool, bowling (badly) and enjoying some drinks. Earlier this week it was 3 months since I started working there and I can still say, I'm really happy I made that decision. Everyone I've worked with on my team, and across others, have been friendly, helpful and just genuinely nice colleagues.
Before the party, on Wednesday night, I went ice skating with Katy. Now this could have all gone terribly wrong if I'd fallen over; you all know the horror stories people speak of when they talk about ice skating. Luckily none of that happened and I was actually quite impressed at how well I picked it up again!
