From shopping to hot yoga, to lions and tigers - it's been an interesting week.
I tried out Hot Yoga this week and although my balance/flexibility isn't quite as good as I'd like, I enjoyed the class and I'm considering going again. It wasn't too hot to be unbearable and since the studio was dark, I didn't feel self conscious about getting sweaty or being a bit shaky in some of the poses. No one really looks at you to see if your downward dog is better, or if you can hold your side plank longer. I found it really useful being at the front of the class to see the instructor demonstrate the poses, since some of the people there knew exactly what they were doing. Would I do it again? Yes probably, but I might go to some regular yoga classes first/try and do the odd pose around the house just to brush up on my knowledge so I'm not stood thinking 'what is that and how is she managing to hold that position without falling over?!'.
I've been to Flamingo Land a few times, a school trip years ago and the odd family trip here and there. This time we had 2 for 1 vouchers which made the admission prices considerably cheaper. I guess £37 for a theme park and zoo isn't that bad, but there's no discount if you're not interested in all the theme park rides. If you're looking for somewhere to see animals, I'd then recommend Edinburgh Zoo, not just because I was there last week (and have been multiple times in the past) but they've got everything, except elephants, giraffes and probably a few others...
