Sunday Summary | A Change of Scenery

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
Little later than usual with this week's summary, but I've been out enjoying the sunshine.

Earlier this week I was working away for a couple of nights down in Reading. Passing through London made me realize just how much I want to go back and visit soon. I was a little disappointed I didn't spot any bears in Paddington station, but I let that go considering the amount of guys I saw walking around in suits, outside of rush hour on the tube too! It was nice to get away for a few days and have a change of scenery, even if it was for work. I'd never been to Reading before but was extremely happy to find they have Five Guys in the shopping center and I made a beeline for a burger. Verdict: very good, cajun chips were tasty with a bit of a kick and still Fanta Lemon was amazing. It's no Fat Hippo though, so the North East still wins! If you didn't see the photos, make sure you check my instagram feed which seems to be dedicated to food photos lately, oops!

This afternoon I caught up with the lovely Lisa to help her out with some uni work. She asked me to be her main feature in the magazine she's creating, so we had a little photoshoot through Newcastle in the sun and there'll be an interview to go with it.

On my blog this week I've shared my first experiences with Myprotein this week and hopefully it's broken some myths about protein being just for gaining muscle and bulking up, the low-down on LUSH's Easter range (it's very cute and I can't be held responsible if you want to buy everything) and everything you need to know about my recent spa day with my sister.

Yesterday marked a month since I picked up my car and I'm so happy with it. Driving today in the sun was lovely, so hopefully that's a sign that Spring has arrived. It should have anyway considering Friday was the equinox and the eclipse. Did you see it? I spent a good part of Friday morning at work looking out of the window, but I can justify it since it's the only one until the partial eclipse in 2026... Luckily the clouds moved just in time and I caught a glimpse. Anything space related has always interested me, so I'm just thankful I was able to experience it first hand, rather than through the news reports.

Hope you've had a great week!
