Time: // 8:45 am
The scene: // Sunny and cool in a town waving the National League Pennant. I haven’t been much of a baseball fan in recent years after being disillusioned by the steroid era, but I used to be both a fan and a lover of the history of the game. A Cardinals versus Red Sox World Series makes both parts happy. But I have to go with the fan part for who to root for: Go Cards!
Listening to: // My Sunday playlist, currently a medley of two of my favorite hymns from childhood, “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “Come, Ye Thankful People Come.”
Blogging about: // Photography classes. I wrote three posts (with photos, of course) from two classes:
- Saturday Snapshot — Street Photography
- Environmental Portraits Photography Workshop
- Environmental Portraits Photography Workshop (part 2)
And, I slipped photos from the classes into three other posts:
- Book Review: Plate to Pixel by Helene Dujardin
- Mother and Me, Age 48 — October Memoir Challenge
- Book Review: Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
Participating in: // The October Memoir and Backstory Challenge hosted by Jane Ann McLachlan. The third week’s theme was secrets. I had trouble with this one and ended up writing two posts about secrets I’m not telling, right now, followed by one post where I finally revealed a secret about my idiosyncratic way of getting myself to complete projects.
- Not My Secret — October Memoir Challenge
- Secretive Art — October Memoir Challenge
- Secrets Revealed — October Memoir Challenge
Our Week 4 theme is Roots and Wings. Memories of home, leaving or finding it, and of travel or journeys. I have no idea, yet, what I’m going to do with this. Maybe travel. My trips since I started this blog are pretty well documented here, but I could scan old photos from earlier trips.
Looking forward to: // The Diversity Book Club meeting when we’ll be discussing the first seven chapters of Before the Mayflower.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
