Sunday Salon — November 10

Time: // 7:46 am

The scene: // The sun is so low in the sky, now, that we have the shades down in the sunroom so my view is obscured, but it’s definitely sunny and cold. Today and tomorrow, we’ll be doing all our winterizing chores so we don’t end up with frozen hoses, pipes, or faucets.

Listening to: // My Sunday playlist, currently “Oh Happy Day” by Aaron Neville.

Reading: // I’m finally about finished with Brave Genius by Sean B. Carroll. I hope to review it for the Dreaming of France meme tomorrow at An Accidental Blog. I’ve started The Cartographer of No Man’s Land by P.S. Duffy, a pick for the From Left to Write book club. Watch for the list of posts inspired by the book on Thursday.

Watching: // We watched all the Thin Man movies one after another, starting on Halloween. The dialog between Nick and Nora is surely what the description “witty repartee” was invented for. Our old boxed set also has an extra disk with documentaries and we’re going a bit slower through that.
