Sunday Night Update

My last post was a rushed update just after a nap I had in my lunchbreak, and though while in bed at 10.30 at night also isn't the best time for a better in-depth post... oh well, it's the only time I have right now so here it is!
First off, Seb and I went competing on Saturday to do a PSG. It went pretty well, he was a bit hot in the warm-up (must be all the oats he's on!) but we pulled it together for the test and won with 67%. German competitions are really so different to competitions in England. They are so much bigger and have a slightly buzzing atmosphere, especially if there is showjumping going on in the arena nextdoor! But it was nice to compete in England again with the laid-back atmosphere.
Today I did some fun stuff with the horses and took Seb on a big hack through the fields, trotting and cantering up all the hills to loosen him up and build more strength. As for Chad and Bertina, they jumped today! Seriously, just popped both of them straight over a small vertical, no ground poles or anything, just a pole. It was like they had been doing it their whole life, the whole 3-4 years of their life! I reckon Chad will go eventing, I'd love to play around in some intro eventing when he is older, just for a bit of fun.
Since Germany I've been feeling like a bit of an old woman, as my body went through some shock with the serious riding that was involved in the German training, and my back is just messed up. So, on Thursday I went to an osteopath. I thought, like I did with Julius, I'd start with my skeleton, and work my way out to my muscles to fix the problem. The osteo completely pulled my skeleton apart and put me back together again, it was gruesome! Apparently I had been born with my head on my spine crooked (??) which explains why my left side is so dysfunctional compared to my right side. So he fixed that with a mighty wrench of my head with some serious cracking noises. However now my muscles in my neck and shoulders feel even more like rocks under my skin with all the knots in there. I think I may have to head to a sports massage therapist now - somehow I don't think my mom rubbing deep heat into my shoulders is enough. It really is annoying though, my muscles pinch in my shoulders when I ride and I find it really hard to relax them back and down at the moment. Best get this sorted quickly!
So tomorrow it's back to college, and I got not chance of a rest on the weekend either so I'm still tired, but I'm thinking the tiredness will just go away soon as I get used to the really early mornings and late nights, full of riding and studying. Wish me luck!
