Sunday dream phone review – The Sony Xperia Go ST27i

The Sony Xperia Go ST27i is my dream phone, if only I have RM688 right now, the phone could be mine. It is available at a discounted price for RM688 from the normal price of RM749 at an online store here in Malaysia. So why did I choose the Xperia Go DT27i as my dream phone? Well, first it is fast enough for my need – fitted with dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with a matching Adreno 400 GPU, has 8GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM and the external storage can be expanded through a microSD up to 32GB, so playing games, videos and downloading games will not be a problem. Most of all, I like this phone because it is one of those Sony phones equipped with scratch-resistance glass, Sony Mobile Bravia engine and IP67 certified – dust and water proof up to 1m for 30 mins! It is just the kind of phone that I can take with me in my “green quest” through the Borneon wilderness.

The camera is decent at 5MP (2592 x 1944 pixels) with autofocus and LED flash, and with the ability to shoot video at 720p@30fps, continuous autofocus, video light and a video stabilizer. So taking pictures and shooting videos even in low lights will not be a problem at all. There is more the Sony Xperia Go ST27i could offer.
