Summer Lovin'

Today I have done nothing but daydream about summer antics and excursions. It began with a text from my friend this morning telling me she had just heard Green Day played on the radio, and from then on we continued to reminisce over our teenage years; talking about how we've turned into old women without realising - conclusion being that we need to make this summer the best one ever. Plans are to flood my garden a la 'The Great Water Fight of 2007' and spend hours sitting by the river listening to cheesy ska-punk, eating too many chippy chips and drinking fruity cocktails with all our friends :) I'm getting super excited just thinking about it!
 Sooo, in anticipation of this I've picked out a few items, all of which I plan on adding to my summer wardrobe ASAP. Eeeeeeeee... I can't wait! :D

In other news, I've started watching the HBO series "Girls" - recommended to me by my lovely friend Rachael :) and am now completely hooked i.e. I watched the first five episodes back to back without being able to tear myself away for a break. It's bloody brilliant and if you haven't seen it, I totally recommend giving it a go! The plot revolves around a group of girls in their early twenties living in NYC, and deals with (and I quote) their "assorted humiliations and rare triumphs". Apparently it's been dubbed as being the new SATC. Only time will tell I suppose - it is great though.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :) I'm planning on indulging in a little retail therapy and if the weather's good, I believe a picnic may be on the cards.
