Style: The Wedding Guest 2012 - Outfit 2

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
As I've mentioned in my last wedding style related post, I'm off to my lovely friends wedding at the end of the month.  Finding an outfit is hard, you want to look fantastic, especially as seeing old friends.  Here is my next wedding style installment... With this outfit I've gone for a sleek look.  Basically I know some ladies prefer to go for a less 'floaty' ensemble and enjoy wearing figure hugging dresses - this dress from Quiz Clothing is ideal (also a bargain at £22.99!!).  It's in the very fashionable peplum style, nipping you in at the waist creating that womanly shape we all crave.  Better yet (I can tell you this is true) this particular style is a cheeky way of keeping the curve but hiding the tum, which is ideal for a wedding, especially if eating.... yum yum cake!
I've teamed this dress with bright accessories to keep it as an uplighted look.  Trouble sometimes with blacks and whites, is that they can wash you out if you're not careful, so adding some vibrant color can really work well.  I've gone for fuschia pinks, with my Topshop platforms and my beads from a market in Majorca.  They set the look I was aiming for off perfectly.  If pink isn't your colour, corals would work well or lilacs.  Even though its a very versatile look, I do think for a summer wedding having light colours with it will be fabulous, so stick to your pastels, corals and fuschias - try to think add on colours being either pastels tones or light shades.  If you want other colours they won't particularly work for this type of wedding, but will work for other occassions.
What I'm wearing:  Dress - Quiz Cream/Black Marcella Peplum Lace Dress - £22.99, Shoes - Topshop Stardom Mesh Platforms - £65.00, Necklace - Beads from market in Majorca, Bag - Vintage embellished clutch, Bracelet - Market store
I can hand on heart say this dress was super comfortable, it feels like it would stay in place too.  I could throw some shapes, fall down, blast out vocals on the karaoke and I'd still remain how I started! Its an utter bargain and quite a chic but still feminine look for a wedding.
What do you think?
xoxo
