Style Swap Tuesdays - Transitioning to Fall

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
We are officially into fall, but Mother Nature seems to be having her own thing going on. Mornings are slightly cooler, but the days are summer-like hot. When I say hot, I mean hot-hot, hot enough to blow your mind away.
This capricious weather is definitely posing a lot of sartorial challenges. Weather-wise we might be far from fall, but fashion-wise everything in the stores is screaming fall. So how do you keep up with the seasonal trend, when there is no sign of the season for real??
Well, I am sharing a few hacks that will help you get through this in-between fall weather, without feeling the actual physical atrocity of what feels like summer ....
1) WEAR A SHORT SLEEVE COAT- a three-fourth sleeve length is just ideal for a hot fall day and if it a full zipper....then even better ! Just wear the coat zipped up, no under shirt needed !

I AM WEARING
jacket- Zara ( similar in denim ) jeans- c/o Blank NYC via Bloomingdales, another Blank NYC option  socks- c/o Happy Socks, buy here  heels- c/o Amiclubwear , similar  bag- c/o Bloomingdales, in blue

2) WEAR QUIRKY SOCKS WITH YOUR HEELS-  well, with the summer-like temperatures outside, it might be too early to break out your fall-booties. But if you still like to get into that fall-spirit try a pair of fun ankle socks with your summer sandals/pumps, like this one from Happy Socks.  A huge trend this fall, socks with heels is surely going to make a mark on every street style feed.

3) ADD FALL ACCESSORIES- nothing speaks the language of fall better than fur. Whereas, it might be too hot to throw on a fur scarf or a fur vest, it is never too early to break out your favorite fur strap bag. I am loving this bag from the new arrivals at Bloomingdales. If a bag is not your jam how about jewelry with fur accents??? Could be your thing!

4) ROCK FALL MAKEUP- while summer is more cool tones, fall/winter makeup tends to shift to slightly warmer hues. Shades like reds, burgundy, browns and purple( this year ) are some colors that will help you ease into fall/winter.
