On this Christmas Day I present you.......drumroll please.......my Carrie Bradshaw inspired outfit. I did not intend to do so, but on the day of the photoshoot when I overheard some girlfriends passing by murmuring that 'I looked like Carrie Bradshaw' my focus changed. Suddenly I became more poised in my posing and I grinned from ear to ear. Not that I wasn't before I overheard the mumbling during the photoshoot, but this just gave me an adrenaline rush and I had a blast thereafter.
Anyways, this pretty tartan tulle dress was a gift from one of my new favorite brands' ModCloth. The dress fits TTS and the can-can lining on the inside takes this up a notch. I am a sucker of puffy skirts and the can-can lining inside makes the bottom more structured and stiff, but in a good way. What I love the most about this dress is the mid-calf length, just where I would like my skirts to hit. It is one of those effortless pieces that can be styled easily- wear it as is ( then shoulder straps are thick enough to cover your bra strap) or if you are feeling a bit sartorially adventurous then pair it with another contrasting print jacket or cardi and voila!!
