P.S - Instagram is making some changes to it's algorithm starting today, which means you might not be able to see me in your feed as often. So if you wish to continue getting an update for Myriad Musings, head here and follow the directions to "TURN ON POST NOTIFICATIONS ". Spring is finally here and I am embracing it in all respect. The flowers are blooming, the grass looks greener, outdoor activities have resumed and everyone looks happier. My outfits are always the first to witness the effect of this transition- there's more color, more textures and over-the-top prints. Today's look incorporates two of the aforementioned- textured chambray and printed jacket. Denim/Chambray is huge this spring and stores are flooding their shelves with denim everything- be it dresses, tops, skirts, or even shoes...there's bountiful to witness! I bought this inexpensive chambray skirt from Old Navy- an impulse buy but totally worth it!
jacket- Shein , buy same ( I'm wearing a size M ) black top- Gap (similar ) skirt- Old Navy ( splurge ) boots- Aldo Shoes ( another pair I would love to own ) bag- Rebecca Minkoff ( pretty pastel option ) shopping bag- c/o ORVIS ( post coming soon )
Chambray is lighter in feel than denim, which makes it comfy for the warmer temps. It's like a neutral which pairs pretty much with everything. On a warmer day wear it with a cute crop top, a pair of lace flats and you've hit the right note with summer boho. On a windy spring day- a printed jacket and some killer boots...and you've upped your style game.
Now talking about this printed jacket- a new one indeed, is fun, flirty and fits true to size. As per the size chart I was a size M and that's what I am wearing. I love the fit, it's cropped but the right hem. It's always a hit or miss with these online asian retailers, and this jacket is definitely a keeper.
What do you think of this look ???
