The other week I was invited to Manchester for one of my best friends birthday celebrations. Having not been out in quite a while I was eager to go shopping to find a special outfit, however I couldn't find anything new I loved so was considering to wear something I already owned - but this didn't feel right I wanted something new for such a special occassion. After creating the moodboard above I decided to be daring and opt for a bodycon pencil skirt, which is something I'd of never have dreamed of buying! I just hate any emphasis on my hips/stomach but for some unknown reason I thought it may be a good idea... I want this sign! Genius wall art from Neighbourhood
We went to some of Manchesters chic bars for delicious cocktails and plenty of dancing. It was an amazing night full of everything a girls night out should be topped with lots of giggles. As you can see I've chosen a black chiffon vest top and pulled it out from the tucked in skirt, the reason I did this is because it stops the outfit looking harsh. By doing what I did just softens the look a bit and an added bonus is that it creates emphasis on the nipped in waist.Myself and the gorgeous birthday girl drinking cocktails out of a classic cup and saucer! We ventured to lots of spectacular Manchester hotspots but I must admit my favorite was Neighbourhood - which we actually spent most of the night indulging in cocktails, good music and stylish people. I was a bit worried it may be a bit pretentious but actually it was the opposite being really inviting and just great fun... the perfect cocktail for a fabulous night out! I will definetely be visiting again and after I discovered it was also a restaurant I think my next trip to Manchester will be starting with a meal there... Have you ever been out in Manchester? If not I really do reccommend it, especially Neighbourhood. xoxo
