More importantly, it benefited local charity Let Mommy Sleep who provide overnight care to newborns to allow parents to sleep at night and thrive during the day (I know I could use their services when my husband is away, hint hint).
So yes, I was excited! Mostly because I got to put on proper makeup, wear a nice outfit, use my new handbag without having to stuff diapers into it, wear a necklace (remember, a baby's grip is lethal and I can't use them anymore) and see a few of my friends.
I felt good. Especially after dealing with a serious case of the baby blues the past few weeks. I really needed to get out and socialize without a child attached to my leg or in my arms.
So off I went and here's what I wore...
I had seen a similar striped tee over a denim shirt look on Pinterest and I was eager to try it out. It worked out well because of the Hold Your Haunches flattening my tummy and keeping it all in. Otherwise it would have been a hot mess.
The blazer was a baby shower gift from my friend and CAbi Stylist Susan Rigger. It's still a little tight, but not uncomfortable to wear.
At the expo I saw plenty of women with great real everyday style - here are a few of my favorites:
Real style. Real women.
Watch my Hold Your Haunches before and after video - you will be amazed!
