One thing that I was really looking forward to before baby Ralph was born was being able to stroll with him around the neighborhood. During the spring of my pregnancy, Wade and I would take the puppies on nightly walks and we would always talk about how we could not wait to be doing this with our new baby. We wondered if he would like being in a stroller and if he would enjoy our little walks as much as we did.
Since baby Ralph as born in the middle of July, I have not been able to really stroll with him (or the puppies) until the last month due to the Texas heat. The day those temperatures hit the mid 80’s it was stroller go time and I have never loved anything more.
Thankfully Baby Ralph loves to stroll as much as I do. Sometimes he sleeps and sometimes he just looks around and takes everything in. We listen to music and ‘talk’. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that he loves his strolls as much as I do.
Being such a fan of strolling around the neighborhood, you can imagine my extreme level of excitement when Silver Cross reached out and asked if I wanted the ‘Rolls Royce’ of Prams to push baby Ralph around in. I would be lying if I said it took me more than about 3 minutes to respond to the e-mail. I mean when THE most well known stroller company in the world (yes, Kate Middleton is always photographed with hers), reaches out and wants to send you a beautiful pram for your new baby, of course you say yes.
This pram is one of the the most special things I have gotten since the baby arrived (this will for sure be passed down one day). Not only is this a work of art (they are all handmade), this 138 year old company knows what they are doing because baby Ralph has never been more comfortable on a stroll.
Now that baby Ralph and I are regular strollers, I like to think that it’s the time we spend together that he enjoys but realistically it’s the deeply padded mattress and the famous bouncing Silver Cross suspension that makes him love our strolls that much more.
