But of course, a strawberry’s beauty is within it! The mix of sweetness and tartness makes it a palate-pleaser. So it’s no wonder that it’s so popular around Valentine’s Day! In the spirit of the season, we have a brightly colored and juicy blend of strawberries and curd – a Strawberry Lassi recipe for you and the whole family.
Strawberry Lassi
Ingredients:
- 2 cup strawberries , washed, hulled and chopped roughly
- 1 cup curd (use curd which is not very sour)
- 1-2 tablespoon cane sugar / honey / Jaggery powder
Method:
1. Add all the ingredients into a blender jar.
2. Pulse 3-4 times to get a smooth and lump-free mixture.
3. Pour into a tall glass and serve right away.
Strawberry lassi can be served to babies after 8 months of age , but without adding honey or sugar. You may add a little cardamom powder to add some flavor.
Strawberries don’t just look and taste good, they are also full of nutrients and anti-oxidants. Winter is showing signs of leaving and it already feels like summer during the afternoons. If your little one doesn’t like curd with his meals and isn’t having enough of probiotics, then this recipe is perfect for you!
