I actually have the DVD of the live performance seen above from the Escape tour. It’s hard to forget Steve Perry’s yellow shirt. And yes, the guy with the curly hair is Neal Schon, the one who Michaele Salahi (Real Housewives of DC) ran off with even though she was married. Pathetic.
Stone in Love was released in July of 1981 from the band’s seventh studio album, Escape. It never became a single though it is considered a popular radio song. The album itself would also carry Journey’s other hits, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Who’s Crying Now,” and “Open Arms.”
The song describes love in a positive light. In this case, the singer is completely in love with the girl and he wants to keep her forever.
