An emotional Sterling K. Brown has made history again!
During Sunday night’s Golden Globes, This Is Us actor, Sterling K. Brown became the first black actor to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama series.
‘I’ve never been the first brother to do anything,’ Brown told a female reporter who brought up the historic moment.
“I was the fourth black student council president, I was the second black JV captain of my basketball team.”
‘Finally, to be the first of something is really interesting because I never considered myself to be a trailblazer. I just try to stay in my truth all the time. If I come from a place of truth, that’s all I can do.’

Brown also made history during last year’s Primetime Emmys, when he became the first black actor in 20 years to win Best Actor in a drama for his role as Randall Pearson on This Is Us as well.
