Stephen Moyer Joins English Team for Soccer Aid 2014

Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton) will be trading in his fangs for cleats this June when he participates in Soccer Aid 2014. Digital Spy reports that the actor, along with former Doctor Who Matt Smith and comedian Jack Whitehall.

The Bi-annual charity football event will benefit UNICEF. When it was last held in 2012, the event raised almost £5 million. Captained by UK Ambassador for UNICEF Robbie Williams, he admits that there are scores to settle:

“Soccer Aid returns for the fifth time in June and I admit there are scores to settle. Leading the England team, I will be making sure we defend that trophy against Rest of the World. There’s never been a better time for us to show our support for UNICEF, so please dig deep and buy your tickets now!”

The English Team will play against the Rest of the World including Masters of Sex Michael Sheen, celeb chef Gordon Ramsay, and actor James McAvoy.

UNICEF helps children in need all over the world and Soccer AID 2014 will help raise funds that will go towards helping prevent children from contracting diseases and keeping them from starvation.

Soccer Aid 2014 will be held June 8th, 2014 at Old Telford in the UK.
