During our stay in Berlin, we called Hotel Am Wannsee our temporary home.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the Wannsee station, which is both a train and an S-Bahn station. In less than 20 minutes you can find yourself in the heart of Berlin. However, this advantage can also be a disadvantage: if you happen to have a room at the back of the hotel, you have a view of the station itself. And that can be noisy, especially when you leave the window open.
Rooms come in all shapes and sizes; they are spacious and comfortable, come with free Internet connection and are with or without breakfast. But the main attraction is the restaurant, which serves local specialties and beers. We recommend the potato and sausage soup, the herring dishes and the tuna casserole with cheese.
The restaurant personnel is very friendly and sociable; they really made us feel at home. And what a beautiful bar!
Lars and I thought that the breakfast in the hotel was too expensive. If you happen to be of the same opinion, fear not. Two steps away from the hotel, you have Corsini, which serves a huge variety of beverages and meals. Try the burgers: cheap but delicious!
