An officer working in a state bank has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in connection with a fraud of Rs.65 million. The executive, a resident of Mahara Kadawatha, is 26 years.The Criminal Investigation Department states that this fraud has been committed by the suspect by obtaining the money from an account in the corporate branch of the respective bank by pretending to be the account holder. The police are further investigating the matter.
