Starbucks has created the ‘Tribute Blend’ to celebrate its 40th anniversary, honor its customers and partners, and to recognize the work of its coffee producers and roasters.
The blend comprises four different types of coffee from the three coffee-producing regions around the world, namely, Sun-Dried Ethiopia coffee from Africa, Aged Sumatra and Papua New Guinea coffee from Asia Pacific, and Colombia coffee from Latin America.
The packaging was inspired by the complex taste of the blend and features hand-painted abstract images. The packaging team spent a year developing an identity, eventually coming up with green circles to represent the Starbucks logo.
