Stanley Donwood ‘Apocalypse Boutique’ Exhibition | 2nd Nov – 1st Dec

By Theneonhub @theneonhub

Fans of Radiohead will be familiar with Stanley Donwood’s work through the bands album covers.

Stanley is a British artist, writer and Radiohead’s in-house creator. From the 2nd of November to the 1st of December The Hangup Gallery in Stoke Newington will be exhibiting ‘Apocalypse Boutique’ a retrospective of his rare prints and one-off pieces.

The exhibition will feature a series of rare screen-prints, linoprints, etchings and original canvases produced over the last decade and will feature the last remaining original canvas from the artists ‘Hail to the Thief’ series.

Stanley has been Radiohead’s inhouse artist since he met Thom Yorke met at Exeter University and neon are fans of his work which accompanies Radiohead’s music perfectly. One of the downsides to digital music is that many albums were also works of art and through buying digital we are less exposed to art – so neon are looking forward to this exhibition.
