St Julian of Kenomania

By None

We have just been given this beautiful icon print of St. Julian of Kenomania, that was released in 1896. It is #132 out of a total of 3000 icon prints of the saint that were released in Russia. St. Julian was made a bishop by St. Peter the Apostle. St. Julian is considered a protector of children as wherever he went, he proceeded to resurrect dead children back to life. St. Julian’s icons are often mistaken for those of St. Stylian of Paphlagonia, because the latter is also a protector of children and is similarly depicted with a babe in swaddling clothes.
