Having photographed so many wet weddings over the past couple of years, I have joked that I wont kno what to do when the sun comes out! Alicia and Micky couldn’t
have hoped for better weather for their wedding in St Albans. They are such a nice couple and have been together since they were teenagers. I went to both their parents houses on the morning of the wedding to photograph the boys and then the girls. Each house was full of people and a great atmosphere. Both of them had sent the other a hand written note which was a lovely touch. It was also lovely that Alicias flowers had a number of lockets with photographs of her grandparents on them.
The church service was followed by a relaxed drinks and cupcake reception with hundreds of homemade cupcakes for everyone. Alicia very kindly even made me some gluten free ones! The speeches were topped off not by the cutting of the cake but the sharing of a giant trifle! All the guests were then brought mini trifles as a surprise. The first place that Micky and Alicia ever held hands was very close to the reception venue. After the speeches, I took them there for a few images of just the two of them walking hand in hand once more. As you can see, the evenings dancing was fantastic from the first dance onwards, the band had everyone up dancing.
This is just a sneak preview of the full collection from their wedding. I hope you like them. Feel free to comment, share or ‘like’ the collection.
