#SquadGoals with Supercuts

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
Supercuts are looking for the next squad to be the face of their salon, with cutting edge style and a fun attitude. Reckon you've got what it takes? I headed along to Supercuts in Newcastle to find out more... so read on to find out how you could be in with a chance of getting your face on those posters adorning the salons, or even have a laugh with your friends just putting yourself forward for it...
Welcomed into the Supercuts salon in Newcastle, I instantly felt at home. There was no awkwardness you sometimes feel sitting with a stylist explaining what you want, the whole team were super friendly offering prosecco and nibbles to the four of us attending, before whisking us away to a seat to get styled!

I told Nikki, my stylist, to do whatever style she liked and although I was a bit concerned when she suddenly started backcombing my hair to a new level, I needn't have been. Giving the appearance of an undercut and almost mohawk style, the half updo and intense backcombing not only gave me huge amounts of volume, but really showed off the cheekbones I never thought I had. It's safe to say I will be attempting to try this again at home, or at least something similar. I usually opt to have my hair down but Nikki has certainly made me consider an updo more often.

As if having my hair styled wasn't enough, Jag from Jags Beauty, who offers nail and brow services in the Eldon Square salon, kindly gave me a manicure. I picked out a dark purple gel effect polish 'In The Cable Car' which unintentionally matched my jumper perfectly.
Once we'd all be sufficiently pampered, we headed outside to take some squad shots to show off our freshly styled locks and hopefully be in with a chance of winning the grand prize. The best part - you can enter too!
The #SquadGoals competition ends on 30th Sept so get sharing your photo with your squad (up to 6 people) on social media to be in with a chance of winning your own VIP trip to London with a super swanky photoshoot with Tigi products! Or you could get liking our squad photos from the event and see if we can be crowned winners and represent the North East! That would be exciting!
What do you think of this different style?
