Spruce Opens in Butuan

By Wickedying @wickedying

Thanks to few connections and friends in the blogosphere (aka Lai), I’ve been invited last December 10 at the opening of a new fashion hub in Butuan namely, Spruce. If you frequent Cagayan de Oro, then you would’ve heard about it too. With over 10 retail stores, they are exclusive distributor of Havaianas and Dupe in Northern and Western Mindanao. Here’s a little info about them:

Spruce Designer Network Inc. (SDNI) is a dynamic retail and distribution company that was founded in July 2005. It started with a 30 sq.m. store in Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City.

They also carry global fashion lifestyle brands – PUMA, Sperry Top-Sider, Keds, Polo Ralph Lauren, Bensimon, Pininho and Mighty Wallet; Filipino lifestyle brands – Happy Feet, Anthology, Stylesetter; and our own brand – Spruce footwear.

Spruce PINKed line was created and was officially launched on December 2012 where we allocate a percentage of every purchased pair to Thrive, a breast cancer awareness group in Cagayan de Oro City. With Spruce’s PINKed line, a percentage of the sales go to a Community Based Breast Cancer Screening Project.

Their Robinson’s Place Butuan outlet is like a one-stop shop where you can buy anything from clothes to shoes to accessories.

Get a pair of wedge, sandals and flats for PHP995. I think this is the perfect for any girl this holiday season!

Their PINKed line is created to fund Thrive. Fight Breast Cancer in style! This became their advocacy since the sisters behind the brand Spruce lost their mother on breast cancer.

Keds. I like!

They’re bringing Sperry Top-sider here soon and I hope Puma too!

Clothes. There are dresses, blazers, shorts, pastel pants, and a whole lot more.

Accessories. The lionhead ones are my fave!

They’re best known for this — Havaianas.

I’ve met the owner too, Miss Trisha. She gave me a quick tour of the shop and explained the history of how Spruce came about. Funny how a trip from Boracay and selling Havaianas based on their home grew into something this big.

Yep, that’s me with my goodie bag!

Last Friday the 13th, I went there again and pulled out some clothes and shoes for my future ootd’s. Guess what, I get to keep them all! ALL – which could also mean a head-to-toe outfit including top, shorts, denim jacket, a bag and a pair of……..KEDS!

Thank you Spruce for the opportunity to collaborate with you!
