As we official greet spring, it's time to get that perfect season wardrobe ready and although every fashionista has the wardrobe basics, now is the time to invest in those statement seasonal pieces. It's not a requirement to dabble in every key trend going but be sure to find one or a few to keep you in the loop of things. Make sure that whatever you do welcome into your new season wear, is flattering, affordable and fitting to your personal style. Here are some of my favorite key trends for this season. Enjoy! TL. Xx
1. A Different Black
For Spring/Summer 2015, Black is the new black but with a statement. Whether you're playing with texture or print, be sure to experiment with length, material and separates to get the most out of the darkest hue.
2. Metallic Grey
Grey doesn't have to be so 'grey'. For the upcoming season brighten up your style with metallic gray pieces that will still remain classic. Whether it's single pieces or a complete look, investing in metallic gray will give you the perfect balance between dull and extravagant.
3. Pastels
Pastels will live on for the foreseeable fashion future as the delicate tones are kind to the majority. Light coats, jackets and bold outerwear are great pastel pieces to purchase for your S/S '15 wardrobe as Emilia Wickstead beautifully shows.
4. White Collar
A great white collar will sharpen up any ensemble effortlessly. Turn smart to chic and try versatile styles by layering dresses and tops on top of a crisp white shirt to get the look a la Mary Katrantzou.
5. Cool Orange
Be citrus chic by tuning into one of the bold colours of the season, cool orange. If you're not bold enough to rock a full orange look in the style of Emilia Wickstead, Trager Delaney et al, try dipping your toe in the pool by rocking orange accessories like the fabulous bags by Anya Hindmarch.
6. Black Blue White
The combination of these three classic colours make for effortless styling. This is a trend you can wear regardless of your personal taste, going big and bold like Bora Aksu or simple and sporty like Jasper Conran.
7. Denim
Oh but can we ever really get over our growing love for denim, well it won't be this season. Be it hints of denim or denim all over, what ever floats your boats will most likely sail this season.
