IT’S FINALLY SPRING! You guys, I want to shout it from the roof tops. It seems like winter has lasted for years at this point and I am so excited to see sunshine and feel warmth on my face. And to put away the boots and puffy coats until next year.. SEE YA!
When I went on my press trip with Bath and Body Works last week they suggested bringing something gingham print to wear for our dinner party. They launched a new Gingham fragrance and we were celebrating! But to be honest, I didn’t own a piece of gingham and I mean, I’m down for a good theme party so I knew I had to get one!
And it just so happened that I spotted this gingham skirt while on my press trip with Meijer. I got so many compliments and every time I told them it was from Meijer, they couldn’t believe it. But seriously, they have some of the cutest things! Including this purse which I’ve worn so many times already this season!
I don’t consider my style preppy and that’s what I kept thinking when I pictured gingham. But by adding these chic white booties and an oversized jean jacket, I felt like it was more my style… which I’ve never really put a label on. I think that’s what makes our personal style fun, right? We can wear whatever we feel comfortable in and whatever makes us feel good about ourselves.
But now that I’ve gotten a taste of the gingham trend, I want more! SO I ordered these pieces as well and duh, had to get some patching pieces for the girls too!
But if wearing gingham isn’t your thing, try a scrunchie, scarf, purse, etc. I always suggest that for any trend you’re unsure about. Or throw a leather jacket, a pop of colored shoes, whatever! Make it your own and OWN it!
