How to Attract More Blog Visitors, Retain more Regular Readers, and Earn More Money with Your Blog
I am so excited about our content this week; I can hardly contain myself!
At the end of last week, I sent out an article about kinds of posts, and then on our Assist Social Media Facebook page, I posted a friendly challenge. I asked if people might be interested in a blogging challenge where we'd pick a type of post at random, and even pair them up with a killer headline, and let them go at it, writing the blog post to match.
Each day this week, we'll give you another easy, concrete step you can take to help improve your content and make it the kind of content people can't help but want to share, with a goal of everyone posting these masterpieces on Thursday, and posting the link that day on our Facebook page. We'll invite anyone who wants to use this as an opportunity for enhanced SEO to like, comment and share your content to give it a good boost. And we'll write a blog post wrap up with lessons learned and links out to your content to give an SEO bump to y'all as well.
These baby steps are part of the very same system we've used to continually grow our readership – both from newcomers via organic search, as well as return readers. And content seems to be the one area everyone wants to improve, so let's get started helping you attract more visitors, retain more blog readers, and ultimately – with killer content – make more money with that blog.
Spring Training for Bloggers Day 1: Stretch Your Creativity with a Plan!
The first thing all good athletes do before getting to the meat of their training is to stretch. It's a little bit of a warming up activity that gives the muscles a little bit of advanced knowledge that they're going to be needed, and it gets the blood flow going in advance to help keep you from getting hurt.
Planning your content is a little bit like that. Have you ever noticed how having an idea and a direction makes the process of writing a whole lot easier and even more fun? Especially when you get inspiration for a really kicking title, in my opinion.
When you have an idea of the specific direction your content is going to go – especially if you know it a day or two in advance, it gives your brain that little warm up signal. Your brain starts to stretch a bit, thinking of the things you might want to say on that topic. You might even notice something around you that gives you a great example to use in the course of writing your post.
