Spray Painted Lion Statue

In case you haven't noticed yet, I love to make something new again with a can of spray paint.Well, ever since I found a lion statue at Pier 1 a few months back, I wanted one, too.

So walking through the local dollar store.. what did I find!? Yep.  A lion statue. 

Of course, not the same as the one I found.  But it had potential.

I liked the blue lion from Pier 1.. only it didn't go with my livingroom colors.  And I got a bit of the inspiration from these guys:

So red it is.  A coat of primer and 2 coats of Colonial Red spray paint later. Since I already had the paint, he only cost me $2!

Isn't he cute?  All red and royal looking.   I actually really like it in red.

And he looks great in the living room, too!
