Spotlight On: Suzanne Syz

The jewelry collections designed by Suzanne Syz are influenced by her time of cavorting with the likes of Andy Warhol, Jean Michael Basquiat and other creative souls.

Born in Zurich and educated in Paris, Suzanne moved to New York in the 1980s. Traveling in their circles, she became a collector of the works of those contemporary artist of that era. Suzanne couldn’t seem to find exactly what she wanted in jewelry for herself. During the 1990s, she began to design her own jewelry. The whimsical and joyful pieces are a combination of her love of nature, fairy tales and her art collection.

Today, Suzanne lives in Geneva along with her fabulous art collection. Her signature color is purple and her home decor is in a retro 1950s to 1960s style. Some of her art collection includes a Nelson marsh mellow sofa and an Andy Warhol stitched photograph of Liza Minelli.

Suzanne Syz’s showroom is an extension of her home and the creativity that these artists and their works inspired. Suzanne uses traditional gems such as diamonds, emeralds and sapphires with enamel, gold and titanium. Along with her creative inspiration and team of highly-skilled Geneva-based craftsmen, she produces unique and unconventional jewelry collections.
