While I personally prefer my Running Buddy to any other running belt out there, I always try to stay aware of the other products out there that are available for runners to carry their things with them while running, and I'm always willing to give them a try. Today's product is called Sport-It Waist Belt and we will take a look at it together:
Here is what Sport-It says...

- Grab your music and earphones, insert the device in the inside slits of the belt and go
- Easy slip on over your head or over your hips and you are ready to run
- Light weight and sleek...stylish look and functionality
The Sport-It Waist Belt must have done some work on changing their sizing because I saw quite a few comments on Amazon complaining about the sizing of this belt. I would guess that the key is that when you order the belt, you would need to measure your waist - or if you want to wear it on your hips, then your hips. I think that's where people get into trouble with sizing because I knew where I would wear it, I ordered that size, and it fit perfectly.
The next thing I'll say is that unfortunately, the Sport-It Waist Belt is similar to the other popular belt in that the openings to the pockets are open - they don't have a zipper or snap or anything that closes them, and my feeling is that you take the chance of your personal belongings slipping out. At least that was my personal experience with the other belt similar to this one. I would never take that chance again having lost something very important to me.
It is nice that the Sport-It Waist Belt has a reflective band around it so if you are running in the dark, you could always tuck your shirt underneath the band and then it would be reflective all the way around you. Personally, I would wear some sort of lights if I were planning on running in the dark - I don't think a reflective band around my waist would be enough protection, but that might just be me.
