Sponsored Video: Build Your Family Tree for Free

By Theneonhub @theneonhub

I think most of us at some point in our life have wondered what our ancestors were like; who they were, what they did and whether they were at all like us. Well the obvious truth is that we will never meet them so we won’t have a clue what they were truly like. But we can at least find out a little more about them and piece together some facts about our past family members. After all, in generations to come, I’m sure we would all like to be remembered!

So if you’ve ever been intrigued by who your ancestors are or you’re looking to fill in the missing branches of your family tree, now is the time to do so.

This Remembrance weekend (between Friday 7th November to Monday 10th November at noon), the family history website FindMyPast will have their detailed historical records available (and newspaper pages) from across the world, completely for free for those that simply want to find out more about where they come from.

The records will include information on where people were born, married, where they traveled to, what they did in World War 1 and where they died.

On Saturday 8th from 3pm there will also be a live broadcast where genealogists and family history experts will discuss and guide people through tips on getting the most out of their family history search.

Good luck with your search and we hope you find some interesting facts to put into your family tree!
