Special Sigils From the World of Game of Thrones

Tom Gateley‘s work is awesome. Most of it having to do with everything Game of Thrones, like A Song of Ice and Fire (to book fans) and house sigils. But that’s allright, cuz, even after Tom went through making fan art for most of the major houses, he keeps on releasing excellent stuff connected to the series.

This time, having to do with more personal sigils of individuals of Tom’s fantasy universe, or organizations and places that don’t necessarily have a sigil. He simply made some cool one’s up for them.

For the previous post on The Game of Thrones check out Awesome Game of Thrones House Sigils. For a more alternative look, there’s the brilliant cool White Walker concept art.

Daemon Blackfyre

Daemon swayed half the kingdom to support his claim to the Iron Throne against King Daeron II in a war called the Blackfyre Rebellion, but was killed in the fighting.

Brynden Rivers

A legitimized Great Bastard of Aegon IV and Mylessa Blackwood, his sixth mistress. He served as the Hand and later the Lord commander of the Night’s watch. He’s also probably the three-eyed crow.

Aegor Rivers

Another one of the great bastards, Bittersteel and a great rival of Brynden Rivers on account of their mother and their half-sister. He fled Westeros after the rebellion and founded the Golden Compnay.

The Golden Company

The sellsword company founded by Bittersteel, known for its loyalty to their contracts and the desire to one day return to Westeros.

Brynden Tully

The Blackfish is the uncle of Catelyn Stark, brother to the former lord of Riverrun, Hoster Tully. Currently, after the capture of the place, his whereabouts are unknown, escaping by swimming.

Sons of the Harpy

No one knows who they are, but they’re been causing a lot of problems for Dany in Meereen.

Poor Fellows

A military order sworn to the Faith of the Seven, made up mostly of sparrows, the poorest of those sworn to the Faith of the Seven.

The Unsullied

Eunuchs trained to be something of expert warrior slaves.

Oberyn Martell

The Red Viper and brother of the Prince of Dorne. Made an appearance in only half of Strorm of Swords, but immediately became a fan favorite due to his fantastic battle with the Mountain.

House of Black and White

Where Arya finds somewhat of a home after fleeing from Westeros and arriving in Braavos.

Night’s Watch

Protectors of the realm in the far north, garrisoning the wall.

The Others

Those mysterious creatures (???) on the other side of the wall.

Tyrion Lannister

Possibly the most popular character in the books and even more possibly of the show, Tyrion isn’t quite as loved in the fantasy universe GRRM built for him.

Stannis Baratheon

The sigil Stannis takes once he decides to align himself with the lord of light and Melisandre.

Sandor Clegane

A “knight” with a lot of issues and half a face burned off. May be alive as a gravedigger, but no one knows for sure.

Brave Companions

Behind their back, this sellsword company is known as the Bloody Mummers for its members’ brutality and outlandish appearance, though they find this name insulting

Euro Greyjoy

The current ruler of the Iron Islands, and somewhat of a mysterious fellow, possibly an actual 100% villain which is a rarity in the ASOIAF books.
