Rex Simpson is a Florida partygirl who works at a bar and had nothing in her life at all. Thinking back to a childhood dream of being an astronaut, she gets herself on the NASA space program after lying on her application.

In all honesty I am not even sure where to start with this truly awful film, it must rank in one of the worst that I have watched. I guess that wasn’t the best start, but I start as I mean to go on in terms of how this review is going to go. I don’t have anything positive to say about this film at all. It really is just so bad in all possible aspects.

Surely a bit of an insult to NASA for the fact that we are supposed to believe that Rex could have ever got on the program with all of the lies told on her application. I mean come on, even the pathetic attempt of her best friend pretending to be the different references that were needed.

That’s before then heading into the intense training which contains both the physical and mental aspects of going on a space mission. Despite that it is obvious that Rex does not have any of the qualifications or achievements that she claims, somehow she makes it through the different cutting rounds.

Don’t get me wrong I am all for someone wanting to change everything about the life they had been living, but at some stage you have to realize limits for your choices at different points. If you want an inspiring story about that type of thing, then this is not the film to do it.

Anyway, I am now at the stage of wondering how many more times I am going to be watching Emma Roberts films. The thing is with this one it’s not like she is still a teenager or anything like that, she’s in her 30s now and I guess you lose that aspect of how many more silly roles can be taken on.
