Space Blood Release Math & Atlases Compilation Album and Announce UK Tour

Posted on the 25 August 2015 by Spectralnights

Our buddies from over the pond, Space Blood, have put together a compilation album showcasing some of the finest math-rock bands from the UK. As you’d expect it’s all great, noisy and full of deliciously odd time signatures and ear-shattering riffs. Featuring the likes of Kusanagi, Wot Gorilla? and Alright the Captain, there’s also a new Space Blood song to wrap your ears around.

With new bands to discover and old favourites to enjoy, Math and Atlases is a triumph worthy of its punny name. Full of bands that Space Blood have played (or are going to play!) with, it’s perfect for introducing people to math rock, even those who love this genre might find something new to love throughout the running order.

The Chicago two-piece have also announced a UK tour – the Intergalactic Knobhead tour – in September, including a show at London’s Old Blue Last with Theo, Quadrilles and itoldyouiwouldeatyou on the 23rd. A melting pot of Spectral Nights favourites, this will be a satisfyingly loud and riff-worthy event.
