#SoundOff – Resident Redneck Vs Wrong Side of the Dirt

Matt Farris

Matt Farris quickly figured out the key to winning the #SoundOff has nothing to do with how well-known you are and everything to do with how well you can rally your fans through social media to get out and vote!  Dan + Shay were silent and their fans nearly equally silent over the last three days and the poll results reflect that.  Looking at some of the past winners and honorable mentions (The Road Hammers, Domino, Drew Gregory and now Matt Farris) all were vocal and engaged with their fans through social media and all challenged and beat some of today’s biggest country stars in the #SoundOff.

Livy Jeanne

This week another young Canadian challenger will kick things off trying to keep Matt Farris’ streak at 3.   Our challenger for round 4 is Alberta native and Universal Music Canada recording artist Livy Jeanne.  Since the start of her career a few short years ago Livy has shared the stage with, and is scheduled to share the stage with, artists like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, George Canyon, One More Girl, Darius Rucker and Alan Jackson.

The key question for round 4 is, as always, can Livy, her fans and supporters rally her social audience enough to rise above the Resident Redneck Matt Farris?  If she fails Matt will automatically enter the #SoundOff Hall of Fame and will get a chance to make it 5 straight on his victory lap.  If she succeeds Livy will move into the defender position and take on a new defender on Wednesday afternoon at 5pm EST.

As always if you enjoy the #SoundOff and the rest of the content on this blog, do us a favor and share it with your friends so that we can continue to bring you top level content.
