Soundarya’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’ Has Finally Enrolled Deepika Padukone Opposite Rajnikanth

It’s confirmed news from Soundarya Ashwin, youngest daughter of Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth and the director and producer of the film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ who tweeted: “Guys. Deepika Padukone confirmed to play appas pair in Kochadaiyaan: great to have you back with us @ deepikapadukone:) : ) big hug !”

Deepika was earlier roped in to play the lead opposite Rajnikanth for the film ‘Rana’. The film was postponed indefinitely due to Rajnikanth’s ill health. However, Deepika’s dream of working with the Tamil Superstar will now be fulfilled.

Earlier Katrina Kaif was supposed to play the lead, but she had date problems. Soundarya did post on twitter that she was in talks with Katrina, but there was no confirmation.

‘Kochadaiyaan’ is a 3D film, which is expected to be shot with motion capture. The confirmed star cast includes Rajnikanth, R. Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Sneha, Shobana and Aadhi. It has A.R. Rahman as music director and Rajiv Menon as Cinematographer.

The First look of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ was released on Sunday and Rajnikanth looked stunning with six – pack, beard and a yogi like hairdo.
