Sometimes Cake by Edwina Wyatt and Tasmin Ainslie is a wonderful story about friendship and celebration. I don't think there is any bigger celebration in life than true friendship. Initially, from its title I mistook it as a book on food, especially on cakes. But that is not the case. That does not make any difference actually. Because, the story is as yummy as any of the best cakes you like. So, as long as story of this book is concerned, the cake you will find only on the cover page. In the other parts of the book, I could feel the deliciousness of a cake in various forms while reading is story. The story delivers a very good message about friendship, empathy, love, and emotions. Though It is for little kids but then it has a power to cheer up any sad face on this earth.

The story of Sometimes Cake by Edwina Wyatt and Tasmin Ainslie is simple and illustrative. The protagonist of this story is a young little girl Audrey whose close friend is a lion. This friend of her loves festivities and celebrations all the time. Life is nothing more nothing less than that for him. One day, Audrey finds her friend very quiet and sad. At that moment, Audrey thinks it is the time to cheer up her best friend. The best way, she thinks, to do that, is to find out a reason to celebrate. Because, it is only the celebration that can cheer up her friend, she knows it very well. Lion is just an indicative entity. Actual message it conveys is to take care of your friends and people around you in such a way that they find all reasons to celebrate every moment of life with you.

Sometimes Cake by Edwina Wyatt and Tasmin Ainslie is a book that anybody who reads it, will definitely like it.
