Top: Missoni (borrowed). White Jeans: 7 for all mankind. Shoes: Tory Burch. Bag: Market in Venice. Sunglasses: Super Duper Karen Walker. Jewelry: Anthroplogie, Alex Monroe, Lily and Laura, Michael Kors Watch. Nail Polish: Essie Turquoise and Caicos. It's a problem we all know too well. You find an amazing designer treasure at a vintage store or on consignment, but there is something about it that needs tweaking before it can be outfit ready. Such was the problem with this vintage Missoni skirt acquired by my friend Kathryn*. After much debating, we decided that if it wasn't working as a skirt, why not turn it into a top? Et voilà! Fashion problem solved. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Have y'all ever had to get creative to make an outfit work?
*Kathryn is what I like to call my fashion soul sister and an original SideSmiler. Our obsession with and bond over all things relating to fashion runs deep. We both have a complete mental catalog of each others wardrobe and are constantly swapping clothes back and forth. At any given time half of the clothes in each of our closets belong to the other.
