Some Snaps from New York Fashion Week

By Magsrepublic @republicfashion

Okay, so I’m a little bit behind on this. New York Fashion Week was… two weeks ago. Whoops. But in my defence, I’ve been doing the whole ‘jet-setting fashion gal’ thing and have only just settled back down in grey, rainy Leeds. It’s nice to be back (kind of…)!

It was my first time at New York Fashion Week after becoming a regular at the London version, so I was excited to see how they did their fashion thang across the Pond. Sadly I didn’t get to do any street style snapping, but here are a few photos of my time in the Big Apple…

In summary – gorgeous weather, amazing buildings and delicious, delicious food.

New York style is all about simple, classic pieces with killer accessories, so I stuck to bright dresses with big belts and statement necklaces. Flats are a necessity when navigating the concrete jungle (Alicia Keys reference FTW).

Get the NYC look with a simple, color pop dress like this one by Miso, a bold belt like this Cheeky Budha style and a pair of classic and comfortable flats like these by London Retro.

I did some great work on the celeb spotting front – Adrien Brody (remember King Kong?), Natasha Bedingfield (random!) and my absolute favorite – P’Trique from Sh*t Fashion Girls Say. Yes, that is a man with a beard in a dress.

New York was busy, hectic and amazing. Take me back, please!

Hope you enjoyed my round-up… coming up next week, all the goss from London Fashion Week. See you then!
