Soap & Co. Hand and Nail Care

My finger nails are completely ruined. Clearly the reason for this is the constant polish and removal that I have going on. My nails are split, flaky, week, brittle and any other adjective that you can think of that equates to destroyed!
It actually has made me quite upset because my nail polish is chipping so much easier and as a result I'm going to have to not wear any for a while.
R bought me this nail care set for Christmas, and I'm hoping this, along with a bit of TLC, will do the job.
 

I thought I'd also throw in a picture of my destroyed nails. Hopefully I'll be sharing another 'healthy nail' picture soon. (I am aware how gross this picture is, so I'm sorry!)

Does anyone else have this problem? What can I do to help prevent this happening??
