In Irish illustrator Nigel Peake's new book, In the City (Princeton Architectural Press), his prismatic watercolor and ink drawings document and deconstruct the artist's observations of metropolises like Shanghai, New York, London, and Paris. Here, Peake deciphers skyscrapers as an amalgam of "tall glass and steel and neon."
