Sneak Peek at HBO True Blood Auction of Steve Newlin Items

Posted on the 20 August 2014 by Thevault @The_Vault

We previously reported that since True Blood is ending or meeting the “true death,” items from the sets are being auctioned by HBO. The network has partnered with ScreenBid offering for bid some of the most memorable merchandise from the show’s seven seasons.

In anticipation of the auction beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 20, The Vault exclusively has two items to share that can be yours with the winning bid, a Steve Newlin sign and outfit.

Item #1: Steve Newlin sign from the StAke House:

Vampires beware! This sign is from one of the deadliest anti-vampire shops this side of daylight – the StAke House.

The sign is 19.5 x 19.5 inches. Made of heavy cardboard. Double Sided. One of two available. Comes with hanging hook.

The StAke House sprung up after Russell Edgington killed a newscaster on live television, sparking a new wave of fear among humans. Because vampires laugh at ordinary weapons, humans armed themselves with specialty products like UV lights, wooden bullets, and, of course, the StAke House’s signature item, stakes.

Item #2: Steve Newlin Outfit:

Steve Newlin delivered his now-famous “I am a gay vampire American” speech to Jason while wearing this outfit. In Season 5, Episode 1 of True Blood, Steve has gone from being Rev. Newlin, the head of the Fellowship of the Sun, to a vampire. And he shows up at Jason’s house wearing these olive pleated Club Room wool trousers, small Banana Republic silk/cotton/cashmere lavender sweater, and small Banana Republic purple plaid long-sleeved shirt. Steve wore this outfit onscreen during the memorable scene. The outfit shared screen time with Jason and Jessica.

As we mentioned above, these items will be shown on the auction site tomorrow at noon.
